Who are we

Silverback Tea is an original East-African luxury tea rooted in the earth and people of Rwanda. Named after the mighty Silverback Gorillas who neighbour our plantations and often pay us a visit, this bright, brisk and golden cup of tea is of superior quality and taste in every sip. We take pride in our Rwandan heritage in the rolling hills that nurture our tea plantations and in our community, both of which contribute equal parts towards our journey in bringing the world Rwanda’s Finest Teas – Silverback Teas.

OurTeas

Rooted in nature. Brewed by culture.

Due to the biodiversity of the terroir, its volcanic soil, high rainfall and its ecological balance, no pesticides or external irrigation are used to cultivate the plants in the Rwandan estates.

Teas are a test of patience and love. Steeped and sipped ever so slowly to get and enjoy the best flavours, and seen as the best accompaniment to the best company. They carry heritage from where they are brewed, and history in every cup
